NEW YORK — Relish the opportunity.
That was the message from Lightning captain Steven Stamkos on Sunday heading into Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
With the series reduced to a best-of-three, with the winner to play for a Stanley Cup, Stamkos said there is no other way to look at the situation in front of the Lightning and embrace it.
“You kind of have to realize where you are and kind of use that as a little bit of motivation,’’ Stamkos said.
