Tampa Bay Lightning
DETROIT — After dominating the first two games of their first-round playoff series on home ice, the Lightning saw the roles reversed in the Game 3 loss to Detroit at Joe Louis Arena.
Tampa Bay combined for 74 shots in the first two games, but on Tuesday managed just 22, including only 14 at even strength. So, did the Red Wings dictate play on Tuesday?
“I can tell you what we did do, and that was turn the puck over on numerous occasions,” Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. “What we didn’t do is make them have to play a full 200 feet, and we made the game easy on them.
