Bolts notes: Cooper, Stamkos downplay Canadiens' 'underdog' status

MONTREAL — The gamesmanship between teams started early before Tampa Bay and Montreal took the ice for the first game of the series.

Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien started it off on Thursday when he was asked about the matchup between the teams.

“We all understand that they dominated us during the regular season,’’ Therrien said, referring to Tampa Bay’s 5-0 record against Montreal during the season. “We’re probably the only team that has got home-ice advantage that’s the underdog.’’
