BRANDON — When groupings for the second day of Lightning camp were posted, a handful of players were shuffled around.
In total, five players were “promoted” up to the top two groups, with 2015 top pick Mitchell Stephens along with Cristiano DiGiacinto moving up to the Rays Group, which includes Steven Stamkos, Tyler Johnson and Victor Hedman, among others.
D Dominik Masin, C Brayden Point and RW Philippe Paradis were moved into the Storm Group.
“You are giving everybody a chance to play with players who play at a really high pace,” Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said.
