Bolts notes: C Johnson not ready to return from injury

ANAHEIM, Calif. — After returning to the ice for practice on Tuesday, C Tyler Johnson returned to the medical room on Wednesday.

Johnson will miss his second consecutive game and fifth in the past seven Wednesday night at Anaheim with an undisclosed injury.

After missing three games with an upper-body injury, Johnson returned on Nov. 25. But 48 seconds into the next game, on Nov. 27 in Washington, Johnson suffered a different injury.

“It’s getting better, it’s just some time to take here and, hopefully, I’ll be ready to go here soon,’’ Johnson said.

A return this weekend when Tampa Bay faces San Jose and Los Angeles on back-to-back nights has not been ruled out, but Johnson will not put a target date on a return, noting it depends on how he feels each day.
