BRANDON — With four days off before the start of the playoffs, Lightning associate head coach Rick Bowness was treated to a special day on Sunday.
As a gift for coaching in his 2,000th game earlier this season, the Lightning provided Bowness and his two sons, Ricky and Ryan, tickets to attend the final day of the Masters.
The team provided Bowness with a private charter flight to Augusta, Georgia, in the morning that also brought the trio back at the end of the day.
“If I exaggerated to you, it wouldn’t do it justice,’’ Bowness said.
