Bolts G Bishop set to return from torn groin

When training camp opens on Sept. 17, Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop expects to be fully cleared and ready to play after tearing a torn groin muscle during the Stanley Cup Final.

The injury occurred in Game 2 of the series, and forced Bishop to miss Game 4.

Bishop, who skated with teammates Tuesday during informal workouts at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon, said he has no limitations on the ice.

“Everything feels good,” he said. “I’m just trying to loosen up. And it was good to be back out there with the guys.
