Tampa Bay Lightning fans had one heck of a long night last night. The Tampa Bay Lightning was originally scheduled to select 28th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft; however, just as the Lightning were about to make their way to the stage, a deal was struck and the Lightning would have to wait one more night to find out who their newest member of the Lightning family would be.
Tampa Bay Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman had elected to trade the 28th overall pick in the draft to the New York Islanders in exchange for the 33rd and 72nd overall selections in the 2015 NHL Draft.
