The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has placed TE O.J. Howard on Injured Reserve and signed DB Josh Shaw.
Howard has 34 catches for 565 yards (16.6 avg.) this season. His 565 receiving yards rank fifth among tight ends, while his five touchdown receptions are tied for the third-most. His 16.6 yards per reception is the 10th-highest mark in the NFL and the highest among tight ends.
His 2018 numbers had already surpassed stats from his 2017 rookie campaign.
Shaw (6-1, 200) originally entered the league as a fourth-round pick (120th overall) of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2015 NFL Draft.
