Adrian Peterson has been languishing on the bench with the New Orleans Saints, so the Arizona Cardinals decided to rescue him by giving up a conditional draft pick, per ESPN’s Dianna Russini. Just in time for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to face him.
The Bucs have been tied to Peterson for years on end, though mostly because Peterson kept talking about them. Any interest never materialized, as he stuck with the Minnesota Vikings until this season before moving to the aforementioned Saints—where he got 11 carries for 81 yards, and that’s it.
