Ian Rapoport of NFL Network broke the news that former middle line backer of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kwon Alexander has reached a four-year agreement with the San Francisco 49ers. The deal is reportedly worth $54 million, equating to $13.5 million annually. On par with the reports filing in this morning, Alexander is on his way out of Tampa Bay.
While Jason Licht and his team were hopeful to bring Alexander back, it became clear rather quickly that the linebacker would get much more money on the open market than the Buccaneers could offer him.
