Losing to the San Francisco 49ers was a bummer, but not the end of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ playoff hopes as they’re still in the thick of the division race with four divisional matchups to go. However, losing as many key players as they did in that loss to the 49ers could be the reason their postseason hopes get derailed.
Lavonte David, Carlton Davis, Jamel Dean, Tristan Wirfs, and Chris Godwin all left the game with injuries while only Godwin and Wirfs returned - albeit in a limited capacity. Wirfs even gave up his first sack of the season because of the ankle injury he suffered during the game.
