Season is over for Bucs offensive lineman Mike Liedtke

TAMPA — Bucs offensive lineman Mike Liedtke will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery and be placed on injured reserve.

Tampa Bay already was pretty thin at the offensive line position and Liedtke was listed as the backup to Ali Marpet at left guard. He also can play center.

Liedtke, 27, has played in 10 games over the past two seasons. His injury could mean more reps for undrafted rookie Zack Bailey, who is listed as the third-string left guard. Behind starting right guard Alex Cappa are Earl Watford and Ruben Holcomb. The Bucs also have guard/center Evan Smith and Josh LeRibeus.
