Ryan Tannehill had the NFL world captivated for most of the day. The Miami Dolphins quarterback had to go to the locker room after taking a hit to his knee in training camp—the same knee that he had suffered an ACL injury to in December of last year.
Turns out the scare wasn’t that big of a deal: NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports Tannehill suffered no structural damage to his knee, which means he should be good to go—including for the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 10.
There is one but here, though: Tannehill’s scare and the spate of injuries across the league over the past few days should show us how fragile NFL teams and players are.
