Report: Bucs to sign 3-time Pro Bowl safety T.J. Ward

Related Topics: T. J. Ward, Pro Bowl

ESPN reported overnight that it's a one-year deal worth $5-million, slightly more than he was due to make in the final year of his contract with the Broncos.

Ward, 30, was cut loose by Denver as they made their final roster cuts -- he was a Pro Bowl safety in three straight seasons from 2013-15, and had 87 tackles last season in starting 14 games for Denver. He would be one of the best available players cut loose in final cuts, adding a veteran presence with postseason experience -- he picked off Carolina's Cam Newton in Super Bowl 50 two years ago to help Denver win a championship.
