It was another quiet first half for the Buccaneers. The good news is, it was also a quiet first half for the New York Jets, as well. The Bucs struck first on a 17 play, 77-yard drive that resulted in a 29-yard field goal in the first quarter to put Tampa Bay up 3-0.

The first half saw two sacks by the Bucs defense, the first by defensive end Will Clarke, dropping Jets’ quarterback Josh McCown for a loss of eight. On the same drive, rookie linebacker Kendell Beckwith would record another sack, the first of his NFL career.
