The National Football League today announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Ryan Succop was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 8. This marks the sixth time that Succop has earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors, and the first time he has done so in the NFC. He becomes the fifth different Tampa Bay kicker to win the award and the first since 2016.
In a 25-23 win over the New York Giants in Week 8, Succop scored 13 of the team’s 25 points, converting all four of his field-goal attempts.
