NFL meetings: Monte Kiffin officially joins Jaguars staff

BOCA RATON — Monte Kiffin is now drawing a paycheck from the Jaguars, and his former disciple in Tampa is thrilled with the idea.

Kiffin served as the defensive coordinator of the Bucs for 13 years, with Gus Bradley in charge of Tampa Bay linebackers for Kiffin’s final two seasons (2007-08). Entering his fourth year as Jacksonville’s head coach, Bradley decided to add the 76-year-old Kiffin as a defensive assistant.

“I asked Monte to sit in with some of our defensive meetings as we went through cut-ups and told him to just add insight,’’ Bradley said Tuesday at the NFL owners meetings.
