LB Cameron Lynch Promoted to Active Roster

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a number of thin spots on the depth chart heading into their Monday night showdown with Carolina, and they made a move on Sunday to shore up one of them. Second-year linebacker Cameron Lynch was promoted from the Buccaneers' practice squad, while third-year wide receiver Jeremy Butler was waived to make room on the active roster.

Lynch's promotion will give the Bucs' five active linebackers on Monday night; prior to that move, the only reserve behind starters Lavonte David, Kwon Alexander and Daryl Smith was Adarius Glanton. Without Butler, the team still has five wide receivers, though Cecil Shorts has already been ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
