NASHVILLE — Here at the intersection of Marcus Mariota Place and Jameis Winston Way, the quarterbacks of the Titans and Bucs continued to go in different directions.
During the teams' joint workout Wednesday, the quarterbacks never got closer than the width of a football field.
As the players taken 1-2 in the 2015 draft and thereby closely linked for perpetuity, it seemed odd that they would have zero interaction before, during or after practice.
Winston was asked if he spoke to Mariota on Wednesday. He said no.
"I just know he's a great guy, and I just love seeing him out here competing," Winston said.
