It sounds like the Bucs will be facing another backup QB in Week 6

For the second time this season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting ready for a home game where they'll likely be facing a backup quarterback.

Justin Fields did not play for the Jets when New York traveled to Tampa for the Buccaneers' home opener, and it sounds like the San Francisco 49ers are in a similar boat ahead of Week 6.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, it appears Mac Jones is on track to start Sunday's game with Brock Purdy dealing with an injury. There's still a lot of time between now and then for things to change, but it seems as though Tampa Bay will be facing its second backup quarterback of the season.
