Hundreds attend fantasy football event at Raymond James Stadium

TAMPA — Second-year wide receiver Mike Evans scored big at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, even while he was running routes down the road apiece at One Buc Place.

After setting a franchise record with 12 touchdown catches last year, Evans was an early-round selection on most boards as more than 500 fans gathered for what was billed as the world’s largest fantasy football draft party.

“I didn’t care much for fantasy football when I was a player, but let’s face it — this thing is blowing up,” said former Bucs tight end Anthony Becht, who found himself at one of the 55 tables in the West Club at Raymond James Stadium as a draft participant.
