TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans not only feels the pain of those suffering from Hurricane Harvey in his home state of Texas -- he's lived those horrors before.

"My sophomore year of high school, I had to relocate for a while because Hurricane Ike hit," said Evans, who's from Galveston.

Ike, a Category 4, was the last hurricane to make landfall in Texas in 2008. It cost $27 billion in coastal property damage, making it the third-costliest U.S. hurricane behind Andrew and Katrina.

"It ruined my home and many others' homes," said Evans, who still has lots of family and friends in the area, as well as friends in Houston.
