Gerald McCoy suffers biceps injury against the Lions

Related Topics: Defensive tackle

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have just lost their star defensive tackle for the season. Gerald McCoy left the game with a biceps/shoulder injury, and was ruled to be doubtful to return.

That’s not the most concerning bit: he was seen walking around the sidelines looking very dejected, with several teammates and coaches coming up to him to seemingly console the veteran defensive tackle.

This was all very reminiscent of McCoy’s two early-career torn biceps injuries, which ended his second and third season in the NFL prematurely. Another one of those injuries would mean end of season for McCoy, who has having a really good season in what’s otherwise been a miserable season for the Bucs.
