The Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently parted ways with wide receiver Trey Palmer during roster cuts. Palmer had a promising start to his career, catching 39 passes for 385 yards and three touchdowns as a sixth-round rookie in 2023.
But last season, even in a wide receiver room ravaged by injuries, Palmer’s role shrunk significantly from his rookie season. He caught just 12 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
The wide receiver room became even more crowded this offseason after the team drafted Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Palmer became the odd man out and was released after the Buccaneers first shopped him on the trade block, to no avail
