The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially presented DeSean Jackson to the media today, with a press conference and the usual quotes: Jackson is really fast, he’s a perfect fit, they wanted to get him for a long time, he’ll bring a new dimension to the offense etc. Good, if predictable, stuff.
The one actual bit of news to come out of all of that: DeSean Jackson will be wearing number 11, as he did in Washington. Throughout his career in college and the NFL, Jackson has only worn number 1, 10 and 11.
Too bad for all the Vincent Jackson-jersey owners who hoped he’d pick number 83 so they could just keep their jerseys accurate.
