Bucs: World-record try at fantasy football draft party

Big-time fantasy draft

TAMPA — Hours before the Bucs' first open practice at One Buc Place on Sunday, football fans filled the club area of Raymond James Stadium, hoping to set a world record for the largest fantasy football draft party.

Hoping to top 500 participants, organizers had 40-plus tables, each with 10 fans drafting their own league, with former Bucs greats including Derrick Brooks, Mike Alstott and Ronde Barber mingling with them.

The most common first overall pick was Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, who was picked first in 14 leagues.
