JACKSONVILLE — On his worst pass of Thursday's preseason game against the Jaguars, Jameis Winston threw a ball from the seat of his pants toward the end zone and it appeared to be intercepted by safety Barry Church.
But referee Clete Blakeman ruled Winston's progress was stopped, resulting in a sack.
That decision by Winston and the subsequent ruling may have been the only things that halted the Bucs' near-flawless execution against the Jaguars. Winston completed 21 of 28 passes for 196 yards and led the Bucs on three scoring drives on their first three possessions and a 12-0 halftime lead.
