TAMPA — The Bucs announced Monday that they have signed quarterback Vincent Testaverde — son of the franchise’s all-time leading passer of the same name, Vinny Testaverde — to the team’s 90-man training camp roster.
Testaverde, who was a standout at Jesuit High School just a few blocks away from the Bucs' facility, received a rookie minicamp tryout in May.
He offers the Bucs a fourth healthy quarterback. Starter Jamies Winston and backups Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin have been sharing snaps at practice, but rookie free agent signing Ryan Fitzpatrick is currently on the non-football injury list after injuring his hamstring while playing beach volleyball.
