TAMPA, Fla. -- Jameis Winston not only looked like a quarterback in total command during Sunday's 24-17 win against the Carolina Panthers, but he played like the franchise player the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-7) have pinned their hopes on the past four years.
Backed by a defense posting arguably its best performance of the season, Winston made what he called "decisive decisions" -- a point of emphasis over the past two weeks. He took care of the football, failing to turn the ball over for the second-straight week for the first time since Weeks 4 and 5 of last season.
