TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will get a good, long look at their backup quarterback situation this week.
Veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick will handle most of the snaps in practice while starter Jameis Winston recovers from a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. At some point this week, the Bucs will test Winston's arm to see if he's capable of playing this weekend against the Buffalo Bills.
It may make sense to give Fitzpatrick the nod here, letting Winston rest the arm for next week so he can be ready for the visit from the NFC South-leading Carolina Panthers.
