KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Chris Conte read the Kansas City Chiefs' play perfectly. There was one running back, Spencer Ware, in the backfield, one wide receiver, Chris Conley, lined up wide left (to the defense's right) and three tight ends overloaded on the right side of the formation (his left), with Travis Kelce on the outside. Conte was on Conley's side of the field.
Quarterback Alex Smith snapped the ball, faked the handoff to Ware. The Chiefs were at the Tampa Bay 6 yard line and threatening to score, but Conte didn't bite.
