Buccaneers Waive K Roberto Aguayo

The Buccaneers have waived former second-round K Roberto Aguayo on Saturday, according to Rick Stroud.

This comes just a day after Aguayo converted 1-of-2 field goals and missed an extra point during the Buccaneers preseason opener.

This, of course, means that veteran K Nick Folk has won the kicking competition for the Buccaneers.

Aguayo, 23, was selected with the no. 59 overall pick after the Buccaneers traded up to get him in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $4.053 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $634,208 and $818,415 over the next two years of the agreement.
