The Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the New Orleans Saints today, as the NFC South is starting to divide itself into haves and have-nots. The Saints are in the haves camp: at 5-2 they lead the division, and they’ve won the past five games thanks to a surprisingly solid defense.
On the other hand, the Bucs are definitely have-nots. They’re last in the division at 2-5, and have lost four straight games. The team that was supposed to take the next step and get to the playoffs is instead experiencing a pretty dramatic collapse—particularly on defense.
