The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today safetyAntoine Winfield Jr. as their nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, presented by Nationwide. Considered the league’s most prestigious honor, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, presented by Nationwide, recognizes an NFL player for outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on the field. Each of the league’s 32 nominees were announced today.
“It means everything to me to be nominated for Walter Payton Man of the Year,” said Antoine Winfield Jr. “Every year, the organization has the opportunity to nominate an individual and this was a goal that I set for myself.
