Buccaneers lose another promising rookie to season-ending injury

Injuries have already started to chew through the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster, most notably hitting the team’s young group of talented rookies.

First it was edge rusher David Walker who was placed on IR after suffering an injury in training camp. This time around it’s the secondary that is being hit.

Pewter Report confirmed that J.J. Robert’s injury is significant enough that he’ll miss the entire season. The Bucs placed the rookie on season-ending IR on Saturday, halting what had been an otherwise incredible ascent for a player the team had invested heavily in.

Roberts left joint practice with the Steelers earlier after he suffered a significant knee injury while on special teams.
