Buccaneers LB Lavonte David Believed To Have High-Ankle Sprain

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that Buccaneers LB Lavonte David is believed to have a suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.

According to Rapoport, David is still expected to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

High-ankle sprains typically cost a player between 4-6 weeks to heal, so it’s likely David will be out of the lineup the next few weeks, depending on the MRI results.

David went down later into the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game and was taken off the field on a cart.
