For the first time since 2005 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to begin the season 3-0. Getting there is already hard enough, but the uphill battle got even steeper this past week with a slew of injuries that have eaten into the team's already thin depth.
We already knew the Bucs would be without Chris Godwin and Tristan Wirfs, despite growing hope over the last two weeks that they might be ready to return sooner than expected. The smart move is to avoid rushing them back, though, which seems to be exactly what Tampa Bay is doing.
