The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have activated quarterback Ryan Griffin from injured reserve, as starting quarterback Jameis Winston will spend at least the next two games inactive, and possibly more.
Winston injured his shoulder four weeks and played through it, but aggravated the injury in every game. Add the fact that his play was far from inspiring the last two weeks, and the Bucs made the decision to give his shoulder rest for two weeks—or possibly longer, depending on how the recovery progresses.
That leaves the team with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback, and Ryan Griffin as the backup.
