Aguayo dealing with competition for Tampa Bay kicking job

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Roberto Aguayo has offered an up-and-down performance during the team’s OTAs. Aguayo’s accuracy was a concern during recent practices, continuing the trend set over his first season in Tampa Bay.
  • Not only did the Bucs select the kicker out of Florida State in the second round in the 2016 draft, but GM Jason Licht traded up to get his man, which brought a lot of questioning at the time.
  • After Aguayo connected on only 71 percent of his field goals attempts last year, Nick Folk was brought in to compete for the kicking duties.
