Well, that’s not a good start for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a very good one for Adrian Peterson. Four carries, 54 yards and a touchdown to cap the game’s opening drive and the Arizona Cardinals lead 7-0.
Adrian Peterson looked pretty good and made a few people (mostly Vernon Hargreaves) miss, but this was also a run-blocking win. Not in physical dominance so much as getting greater numbers in the right spot, and getting two men on Gerald McCoy on every play.
What’s amazing there is that the Bucs had one of the NFL’s best run defenses over the first four games.
