Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that the 49ers have “no interest” in free agent QB Mike Glennon, despite some recent reports that said San Francisco could be in the mix for him.
The Bears are clearly the team to watch for Glennon, but it’s interesting to see reports downplaying interest from quarterback-needy teams.
There has been talk that Glennon could get over $14 million per year, which seems like a lot if the Bears are the only serious suitor. The Jets have been tossed out as a landing spot, but Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reported that their interest in Glennon is “largely overblown.
