There are high expectations for Winston as he begins his third NFL training camp. In each of his two seasons, the Buccaneers have steadily improved. He inherited a 2-14 team, but quickly helped the Bucs improve to 6-10 as a rookie. Last year, Tampa Bay took another step forward, earning a 9-7 record and knocking on the door to the postseason. Despite his success, the Bucs believe that Winston can be even better this season. Winston’s Quarterbacks Coach, Mike Bajakian, said he was impressed with Winston’s progress and believes the third-year pro is further along now than he was at this time a year ago.
