Will Malachi Richardson receive a Raptors championship ring?

The Syracuse Orange have not had an alum receive a NBA championship ring since 1980 (Marty Byrnes). That could change this summer after the Toronto Raptors won the NBA Finals yesterday.

Malachi Richardson, the former Orange standout wing from the 2016 Final Four team, played in 22 games for the Raptors. He watched along with the rest of the world, as Toronto traded him to the 76ers, who waived him shortly after in February. Typically teams give out rings to players who spent time with the organization in some fashion even if they did not play one second in the postseason.
