Glens Falls, N.Y. -- Joe Girard III and his parents entered the Adirondack Room here at the Queensbury Hotel a few minutes after 7 p.m. on Sunday night.
The high-profile basketball recruit's college decision felt more like a wedding than a press conference.
The room was filled with friends, family and fans. A dais was set up at the front of the room for the Girards. One round table in front of the dais was reserved for Girard's teammates at Glens Falls High School. Another table was for close family.
"I was tearing up even just walking in and overwhelmed with the people that are here,'' Girard's mother, Arleen, said.
