Clemson, S.C. -- With nine minutes left in the game and Syracuse football leading No. 3 Clemson 23-20, quarterback Eric Dungey appeared to turn in yet another signature playmaking moment.

The senior took a 4th-and-1 snap near midfield, faked a handoff, jumped and floated a pass to tight end Aaron Hackett. Hackett looked up, located the ball and hauled it in for a 19-yard conversion.

The completion moved SU down to the Tigers 24-yard line. Players celebrated and hurried forward for the next play while the 80,000-plus fans in Memorial Stadium grew quiet.

Then an official announced a penalty, negating the potentially game-shifting play.
