Syracuse's Sean Tucker tied a school record with his fifth-straight 100-yard rushing game. The freshman running back finished with 22 carriers for 157 yards and improved his season total to 948 yards. It's the 20th best single-season rushing total in program history.

DJ Uiagalelei threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Joseph Ngata with 9:06 to go in the second quarter for a 6-0 Tigers lead. The extra point by B.T. Potter put Clemson ahead 7-0. Syracuse responded with a touchdown of their own at 5:33 when Shrader's two-yard rush made it 7-6 and Andre Szmyt's kick attempt tied the game at 7-7 as Szmyt became the all-time leader in career points at Syracuse with 336 career points.
