The Tewaaraton Foundation found room for three Syracuse seniors on its first watch list for the 2017 Tewaaraton Trophy.

On Tuesday the Tewaaraton Foundation announced the first watch list of the season for the Tewaaraton Trophy. For those unaware, the Tewaaraton Trophy is the equivalent of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award in college hockey and the Heisman Trophy in college football. The Syracuse Orange had three players named to the list. In the past numerous SU players have been named to the watch lists but the Orange have not had a finalist since JoJo Marasco in 2013 although Dylan Donahue was one of the final 25 nominees in 2016. Keep in mind that the Foundation will most likely add players to the watch list in March if other players begin to stand out.
