Syracuse’s free throw disparity in ACC play getting progressively worse

Beyond wins and losses, one of the prevailing narratives for the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team this year is its inability to get to the free throw line. While the full season numbers don’t back up that idea (SU’s 453 attempts are 79th in the country), the figures in the ACC certainly do. In eight league games so far, the Orange have attempted just 128 free throws (10th in the conference) and are hitting at the lowest rate in the ACC (64.8 percent).

This is where a lot of attention focuses in Donna Ditota’s article for Syracuse.
