Syracuse's basketball game against North Carolina could attract largest crowd of season

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Thanks to a surge in ticket sales Syracuse's game against North Carolina on Wednesday could attract the largest crowd of the season to the Carrier Dome.

Pete Moore, Syracuse's director of athletic communications, said the school had seen a spike in ticket sales following the Orange's win at Miami on Saturday.

Moore said ticket sales were approaching 27,000 as of Tuesday afternoon.

That would put Syracuse within reach of the largest crowd of the season both at the Carrier Dome and for all of college basketball.

A crowd of 27,083 watched Syracuse's game against Virginia on Feb.
